September 4, 2017

An illustrated talk to be given at Whittington church on at 7.30pm on Friday 22 September.

A. E. Perkins was the architect of St Philip and St James church in Whittington, and also of the Victorian restoration of Worcester Cathedral, as well as several other local churches, vicarages and part of the Royal Grammar School.    He is buried in the churchyard at Whittington, as this was apparently his favourite church.

Elizabeth Yarker will be giving an illustrated talk about Perkins and his local work, at 7.30pm on Friday 22 September.  The lecture is free, and will be followed by refreshments.   Donations toward the church (Elizabeth Room) building appeal will be welcome!
