Tenbury Wells
Anglican: St Mary
St Mary’s has Norman origins but the medieval church was badly damaged by flooding in 1772 and had to be rebuilt. It was further restored by Henry Woodyer in 1864. There is 14th century work in the chancel and the tower is late Norman. The church is in the town centre and is open daily 8am to 5pm. (Ref A Church Near You, February 2015.) Diocese of Hereford.

Anglican: St Michael and All Angels.
St Michael’s lies about 2 miles south of Tenbury town centre. It was built in 1854 by Henry Woodyer as part of St Michael’s College, a choir school founded by Rev Sir Frederick Ouseley. The college played an important role in the development of church music in the 19th century. Woodyer modelled the design on a 14th century French cathedral and there is a lofty and elegant interior with fittings, carving and stained glass to a very high standard.
