Worcester St Alban
Worcester, Deansway, St Alban’s
A small Norman church near to the Cathedral, St Alban’s dates back to the 8th century and was part of the earliest Christian community in the city. Restored mid 19th century and declared redundant in 1976. The only city centre church to retain it’s medieval form it is now used as a day centre for homeless people (see Maggs Day Centre website below).
The east window is by Frederick Preedy, c1855.
