Worcester, St George
St George’s Square is to the north of the city centre and this attractive church lies at its east end. Designed by Sir George Aston Webb it was built in 1894/95 to replace an earlier church of 1830. Said to be Aston Webb’s finest church it was constructed in the Arts and Crafts style using red brick with stone bands and has a spacious interior with a fine organ case and stained glass by Kempe.
