Anglican: St Mary and All Saints

The Parish Church of Kidderminster, situated on the town centre ring road that separates it from historic Church Street (see old postcard below). Built of dark red sandstone in the 15th and 16th centuries, in the Perpendicular style, the scale of this fine church reflects the prosperity of the local cloth trade at that time and of Kidderminster carpet manufacturing in the 19th and early 20th centuries.  There is a good collection of 19th and 20th century stained glass. St Mary’s features in Betjeman’s Best British Churches (2011).  Open to visitors most days during the summer months, for details see website information below.

Anglican: St Oswald, Broadwaters

Situated in the attractive Broadwaters Park. This 1971 building was originally the church hall.  The church built in 1964 had to be demolished due to subsidence in the 1980’s and the hall has served as the church since then. Regular services on a Sunday and much used as a community space during the week.
